Small pitches and large number of trees - difficult to manoeuvre for larger vehicles. Mover essential for caravans. No room for an awning and car also has to be parked on the pitch otherwise were told two fees would be payable. Despite the fine coastal situation and proximity to Santander, would not choose to stay at this site again.

Pitches very narrow; could not roll out awning as motorhomes so closely packed and putting out a table and chairs meant encroaching on neighbours. Showers have a hook outside only and no dry area. Water for washing up warm, but not hot. OK for overnight stop whilst waiting for ferry as very close to Santander. Beach close by, but very shallow and waves too big for swimming. No hot water for men to shave. Restaurant was OK, service friendly.

Good place to stop before ferry. Nice beach and walks. Handy restaurants both in campsite and nearby.

Was ok but where we were it was cramped and noisy. toilet facilities clean and tidy. Convenient place to meet friends from the ferry!

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to departing on the Santander ferry, which is 10-15 minutes drive. The campsite is located on the coast just a short walk from a very attractive beach - not commercialised but has bars and restaurants. We were extremely disappointed by the size of the pitches - we've stayed in parking locations with more room. Don't even bother thinking about an awning; there is not enough space to put out chairs without impinging on neighbouring pitch. The site charges the more expensive ACSI rates...! Swimming pool was closed even though it's supposed to stay open until October. Our second day was fine and when we asked why the pool was not open, we were told it was too much trouble to keep it going out of season. So why state it's open until October? We had a very nice meal in the restaurant - some menu items were highly priced so you had to chose carefully but what we had was reasonably priced and good quality. The proprietor helped us choose a very good value local wine.

Looked a good site for our return ferry crossing. Unfortunately, it doesn't allow dogs and we were not therefore allowed to stay. The helpful receptionist did provide us with details of a nearby site that did accept dogs

Stopped here in early May after arriving on Plymouth - Santander ferry to stock up before heading south. Plenty of space as had not pre booked. Facilities all good, though grey water tucked away at top of site. Went for pleasant walk to local beach. Next day found large supermarket nearby and then easy access onto road south.
Would certainly use this site again.

A very pleasant site close to some great coastline. The staff (who I understand are the new owners) were friendly and helpful. Easy to find from the Santander ferry and very quiet at night. Close enough to cycle into Santander which is a beautiful city, but also easy to take the bus. Restaurant food was good with large portions. Showers were good & hot, just lacking in hanging space in the cubicles (per previous reviews).

Arrived on site after sending an email. Site owner was most unpleasant after seeing my twin axle caravan. I had stayed the year before without a problem, but this time he told me to go away, and was not interested in the acknowledgement email I had received from his daughter.

Great campsite within walking distance to a lovely beach and cliff walks. We only had a drink in the restaurant/bar, but the food they were serving looked very nice. The pitches were of good size, and unlike many Spanish site, didnt have too many overhanging branches. The site is very convenient for
the Santander ferry. Would definitely recommend it.
