Validity and booking

What is included in the rate?

Included	Explanation
Pitch	CampingCard ACSI gives you the right to a standard pitch. Sometimes you can camp on all camping pitches with CampingCard ACSI. However, it is possible that the discount only applies to some of the pitches. If you would like a comfort pitch or to camp by the water for example, ask which rate applies at the campsite
Stay with two adults	If you would like to spend the night with more people, ask the campsite about the options and rates. Read more about camping with children with CampingCard ACSI.
Camping equipment: Car + caravan + awning Or car + trailer tent Or car + tent Or camper with awning	The CampingCard ACSI rate applies to all standard combinations.
Electricity: Connection of max. 6A Power consumption of max. 4kWh per day	More and more campsites are measuring power consumption. If you use more than 4kWh per day or want a connection with a higher amperage, you may have to pay an additional charge for electricity.
Hot showers	If you need a shower cap at the campsite, one shower cap per adult per day is included. If the campsite uses a different system, discuss this when checking in.
One dog	This only applies at campsites and camping fields where dogs are welcome.

What is not included in the rate?

Not included	Explanation
Tourist tax, environmental tax, eco tax, waste disposal fee or other obligations set by local authorities	These taxes are not set by the campsite but by the municipality and can change annually. That means you may have to pay an additional amount for these levies at the campsite.
Any booking and administration fees	Some campsites charge booking and administration fees
Hot water at the dishwashing sinks	If you need coins or other forms of payment for hot water at the dishwashing sinks, these are not included in the CampingCard ACSI rate.
Power surcharge	Some campsites calculate an additional power surcharge.

Is the CampingCard ACSI valid at all ACSI campsites?

No. ACSI has inspected over 9,400 campsites. You can get a discount with the CampingCard ACSI at 3,000 of those. You can find all 3,000 CampingCard campsites in the CampingCard ACSI guide, in the CampingCard ACSI app and on the campingcard.com website.

What does it mean when a campsite is an ACSI campsite? This means that the campsite has been visited by ACSI inspectors and has been approved. The inspectors also list all information about the campsites for you

Do I have to make a down payment when I reserve a pitch with CampingCard ACSI?

You can reserve a pitch with CampingCard ACSI at a number of campsites. Some campsites ask for a down payment or you have to pay in advance. However, you can often pay afterwards with CampingCard ACSI. Make sure you show your discount card at reception

How do I book online via the CampingCard website or CampingCard app?

At some campsites you can book a motorhome pitch online via campingcard.com or the CampingCard ACSI app. You show your CampingCard ACSI discount card on arrival. If you book a pitch via the CampingCard ACSI website or app, you pay the campsite directly. Contact the campsite if you have any questions. CampingCard ACSI only makes the selection available via our website and app.

Is CampingCard ACSI valid for rental accommodation as well?

No. CampingCard ACSI is only valid for camping pitches where you camp with your own caravan, motorhome, tent or trailer tent.

Camping with children

Can I camp with children or grandchildren with CampingCard ACSI?

No problem! Handy to know:

Over 375 CampingCard campsites have a special discount for children. Then up to three children aged five and under are included in the rate. Read more.
If you are going to a campsite that does not have a discount for children or your children/grandchildren are over five, ask the campsite about the options and rates for staying with children.
CampingCard ACSI is usually not valid in July and August. However, many campsites do accept the discount card throughout spring and autumn.
Amenities, such as entertainment, are often limited in the low season.

Does the discount apply during school holidays as well?

CampingCard ACSI is also valid at many campsites during the February and May half-terms and the autumn break.

CampingCard ACS is not or is rarely accepted during the high season in July and August.

Info about the low season

How do I know which amenities are open in the low season?

If you would like to know whether the swimming pool or restaurant will be open when you go camping, you can find this information under 'Facilities' in the Camping Card app or on campingcard.com.

If no date is listed by an amenity, for example a restaurant, then the restaurant is always open.

Good to now: the opening period of outdoor swimming pools is often weather dependant in the early and late seasons. So, it could be open sooner or later than listed.

Many campsites are already cheaper in the low season. Do I really need CampingCard ACSI?

We have considered the low season prices when calculating the CampingCard ACSI rate. That enables us to ensure that you always pay less than the standard low season price at a standard pitch with CampingCard ACSI.

Can I stay in winter with CampingCard ACSI?

Yes. CampingCard ACSI Digital or CampingCard ACSI & Motorhome Pitches Digital are perfect if you are going on holiday in December already. You always have access to your discount card digitally and do not need to wait until your guides with paper discount card are delivered. Compare CampingCard ACSI products.

Do I always have to buy a guide with CampingCard ACSI?

As of 2024, CampingCard ACSI is also available in digital format. With CampingCard ACSI Digital, you have the digital discount card and all campsite information on your smartphone or tablet. Choose the product that suits you best.

What CampingCard ACSI products are there?

Is camping with CampingCard ACSI an environmentally friendly choice?

Definitely! Handy to know:

Choose CampingCard ACSI Digital or CampingCard ASCI & and Motorhome Pitches Digital. That way, we save paper.
If you want to make sure a campsite is really sustainable, choose an eco-campsite. All eco-campsites on our sites and apps have an official eco-label from their own country.
