Privacy Statement

At ACSI, our aim is that you can plan your holiday without any concerns. And that includes handling your personal details with care. After all, let's be honest, no one wants their data to end up on the street. Therefore, we would like to explain how we handle your data.
 

Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

ACSI Publishing BV (Geurdeland 9, 6673 DR, Andelst, The Netherlands) is the legal entity responsible for the entire collection and processing of your personal data in connection with ACSI's products, services and websites. ACSI respects and protects your privacy and the personal data you share with us.
 

Your data is safe with us

We only process your personal data if we have a legal basis to do so. A legal basis is for example when we require your data to conclude and execute an agreement.

Your information should be secure with is, and we do all we can to ensure that. All our staff are bound by strict privacy rules and are constantly monitored on that. Your personal data are in good hands with us. We only share this with third parties when absolutely necessary. For example, sharing it with campsites at the end of an activation flow of CampingCard ACSI, for example. Rest assured we do not sell your data to third parties.

We would like you to know exactly how we process your personal data, but also that these are up to date. You are therefore free to access, modify and rectify your data. Of course, you can also let us that you no longer give permission for us to process your data. Because the data belong to you, you can ask us to delete them.

In executing the agreement, we sometimes work with partners, like campsite owners and service providers. We work exclusively with reliable partners that maintain the same privacy standards as we do. These partners only receive your personal data if really necessary and under strict privacy conditions. We have ensured that your personal data they have is just as secure as it is with us.

The way in which ACSI handles your data is in accordance with the new European regulation (General Data Protection Regulation). When you share your personal data with us or when we collect personal data about you, we use it in accordance with this Privacy Statement. The following questions and answers explain in detail what your personal data consist of and how we use, process and secure them.

What are personal data?

These data say something about a natural person. This information relates to your identity, such as your name, address and telephone number, but also your IP address. Personal data therefore includes this kind of data, but also profile photos, personal preferences, purchasing behaviour and financial data.

We process some of your personal data when you choose to register your personal details, contact us or visit our websites. In attachment 1 at the bottom of this page, you can find the categories of personal data that we may process.

  In some situations, we will first ask your consent to process your personal data. That could be, for example, when we want to place specific cookies on your computer to follow your browsing behaviour. You are never obliged to give consent and you can withdraw your consent at any time. You can read what cookies are and how we handle them in our Cookie Statement.

What data do we collect and how do we use them?

At ACSI, the focus is always on the customer. We think that is logical. We want to develop the best possible travel products for you and for this, we need to get in touch with you and communicate with you. This helps us to deliver exactly what you want. We collect or receive your data via our websites, booking forms, apps, but also via social media.

You provide us with your information when you create an account, fill out a survey or when you sign up to receive newsletters, for example. In addition, we receive your data through the purchase process. By browsing our websites, we collect cookies that are essential for the proper functionality and security of our apps and websites.

We process personal data in order to (be able to) comply with the agreement with you. This way we can manage your bookings and provide you with relevant information. If you wish, you will receive marketing messages from us on a regular basis, whether or not by means of newsletters.

We measure your satisfaction and look for solutions if you are not (completely) satisfied. For the purpose of our product development, we keep statistics. This helps us to consolidate our relationship with you and to work with new customers. The analysis and assessment of personal data is necessary for the development and improvement of our products and services; in short, to serve you (even) better. Through our analyses, we can use automated profiling techniques to inform you about products and activities that are tailored to your personal interests and needs.
 

Sharing data with third parties

We do not share your personal data with third parties unless this is necessary for the execution of the agreement or the internal business operations. At CampingCard ACSI, the details you share with us are shared with the campsite where you have your CampingCard ACSI scanned. This campsite may only save your details in the booking system for the purpose of making the booking. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

CampingCard ACSI data processing

When you buy CampingCard ACSI, we process the following data:

• Name (first and last name)
• Email address
• Password
• Address
• Country
• Date of birth
• Telephone number
• Vehicle registration
 

Where do we store your data?

We ensure safe and honest business operations, not in the least for the security of your personal data. Our employees who process personal data may also be outside the European Economic Area and work for us or for our service providers from there. Your data is therefore just as secure with them as it is with us.

Because the transmission of information over the internet is not fully secured, we and the third parties with whom we work cannot guarantee the security of your data sent to our website. Therefore, each transmission remains at your own risk.

Occasionally, our websites and apps contain links to the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we are therefore not responsible or liable for these policies.
 

How do we protect your personal data?

ACSI Publishing B.V. will take suitable technical and organisational measures against loss or illegal processing of your personal data. That could include using secured registration forms, encoding data and limiting access to your personal data.

Certain countries do not have adequate protection for personal data. However, you can be confident that ACSI Publishing B.V. will take suitable security measures regarding the confidentiality and protection of your personal data.
 

How long do we store your personal data?

We do not store your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which we have the data in our possession. This is in order to meet your wishes and needs or to comply with our legal obligations. As soon as we no longer need your data, they will be removed from our systems or rendered anonymous so that your identity can no longer be derived from them.

We store personal data relating to a customer for seven years after the termination of the relationship. Personal data of potential customers who have not yet been contacted will be retained for six months after collection. Personal data of potential customers who have indicated that they want to be in contact with us are kept for two years.
 

What are your privacy rights?

It is important to us that you have control over your personal data. You can exercise this control by using the following rights:

If you wish to review, rectify, amend, limit or delete the personal data we process or object against the processing of your personal data, or if you would like to receive an electronic copy of your personal data to forward them to another company (to the extent that this right to data portability is provided to you by applicable law), you can contact us via dataprotection@acsi.eu. We will respond to your request in accordance with the applicable law.

In your request, we ask that you describe as clearly as possible which personal data your request concerns. For your security, we will only handle requests concerning the personal data corresponding to the specific email address that you use to send us the request, and we could as you to verify your identity before we take your request into consideration. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event within any applicable legally required time frames.
 

On this website published by ACSI you will find links to other websites. ACSI cannot be held responsible for any personal details you submit to these partners. You are advised to acquaint yourself with the way in which our partners handle personal data by consulting the privacy statement of the website in question. Modifications

This Privacy Statement dates from 27-09-2023. Any change or addition to the Privacy Statement will be promptly disclosed to the public.
