Fantastic campsite very close to the Dordogne river for kayak trips but with its own tributary river - perfect for safe swimming! Stunning setting - we chose the large field with less shade as it wasn’t too hot and the views were spectacular. Gorgeous little French courtyard for drinks, very basic shop, beautiful swimming pool and lovely friendly staff. Didn’t eat at the campsite as we cycled into the town. Would definitely recommend!

Sehr idyllisch gelegener Campingplatz mit überaus großzügigen Stellplätzen, die entweder schattig direkt am Bach oder sonnenverwöhnt auf der großen Wiese liegen. Saubere und gut gepflegte Sanitäranlagen ( 1 Stern Abzug, weil die Wassertemperatur beim duschen starken Schwankungen unterworfen war), nettes Restaurant mit guter Auswahl, Bar mit Happy Hour , eine sehr schöne Poolanlage und diverse Sportgeräte die von allen genutzt werden können. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Badestelle im kühlen, klaren Bach, der direkt am Campingplatz liegt. Die ganze Anlage ist liebevoll dekoriert und bepflanzt und wird von dem netten und hilfsbereiten Team gehegt und gepflegt. Den Brötchenservice haben wir sehr oft genutzt. Die Lage ist für Fahrradausflüge an die Dordogne und die Sehenswürdigkeiten dort gut geeignet. Ein sehr empfehlenswerter Platz auf dem wir gerne wiederkommen.

First time at Camping Maisonneuve, although we have visited the area previously.
This is a lovely sire with excellent facilities, pool and restaurant.
We took a caravan and had a pitch beside the small tiver, but on the edge of a very large field. The views if rocky hillsides from our pitch were splendid. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed the excellent food. All staff we encountered were very friendly, smiling and helpful. The facilities were generally kept very clean and tidy during the time we were there (late June - early July. there are many interesting places to visit in the surrounding area.

Our new favourite French campsite, beautiful setting, loads of space, staff very helpful. Toilets were clean and showers hot, great facilities. Very peaceful and within easy reach of the climbing as well as fantastic walks. Will definitely return.

Loved this site. Allowed to choose own pitch. There’s a large open area where you pitch on the edges,or pitches by the river or under trees. Large showers with sinks and plenty of hot water. No toilet seats which doesn’t bother us at all and toilet paper provided. All very clean. Bar open but we didn’t use it. Walking distance to small village with butcher,boulangerie and small supermarket. Also fabulous restaurant where we had coffee everyday and ate there twice. The Tournepique. Lots of pretty villages to easily cycle to in safety. And many Dordogne sights to visit.

A great stop, stayed in September 2021 so it was very quiet. Everything great, cycle route to the castle via a very quiet single track road / cycle route. Pool excellent with great views. Friendly English speaking staff which is appreciated.

Peaceful. Plenty of space, hosts perfect. Well maintained pool and a hospitable bar and restaurant. All Covid friendly...
