This is a wonderful campsite run by an extremely hospitable, friendly and helpful couple, Carla and Frederic. Fluent English, French and Dutch is spoken and helpful advice and information on the surrounding area is generously shared. 
Beautifully located in oak woodland, and close to Brantome (6kms), it offers pitches and a small number of mobile homes, chalets and fully- equipped safari tents in a most relaxing and natural woodland environment. The beautiful village of Bourdeilles is 5kms. Pitches with full sun, semi-shade and full shade are available. There is a feeling of spaciousness and respect for nature throughout, with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside from many pitches.The site will appeal greatly to those who enjoy nature and the outdoors. There are many beautiful walks and cycle routes directly accessible from the site. The surrounding area is a veritable treasure trove for lovers of flora and fauna. Facilities are good and are maintained to a very high standard. There are separate male and female facilities and hot water is in plentiful supply. The showers are excellent. A washing machine is provided, and dish-washing facilities are good. The wifi is free. There are pleasant areas for relaxing around the excellent swimming pool, while children will enjoy the adjacent play area and paddling pool. Meals, pizzas, snacks and beverages are available, while various local produce can also be purchased.  The local honey is absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Supermarkets are within 7kms, and good bakeries are a similar distance. In July and August, a daily bakery service is provided at reception, where orders are taken on the previous day. This is as relaxing a site as we have experienced in over thirty years. Very highly recommended. A must stay!
