Travelling party: Single

beautiful campsite in a lightly wooded area behind the castle. I enjoyed a bike ride to St Emilion and was glad I was staying here rather than there with all the tourists but it was really enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful and my pitch was flat with hookup and water nearby. facilities spotless.

Travelling party: Seniors

We stopped at this site to break our journey south through France. Unfortunately, we arrived on a very wet day and the site was pretty waterlogged. A nice site with good size pitches. We had a hard standing for the caravan but had to park the car on another pitch due to the waterlogged grass. We had a comfort pitch through ACSI which was 6 amp, the water tap was next to the pitch. Grand comfort pitches have 10 amps. There are picnic tables and barbecue areas dotted around. Good, clean, heated ‘sanitaire’. There is a second, new shower block near the entrance but this wasn’t fully open during our stay. Washing up with plenty of hot water and clothes washing sinks outside under cover. Washing machine and tumble dryer available. A good play area, snack and bar with covered seating area and TV. Swimming pool was closed in low season. WIFI is free for 2 hours after that you have to pay. Chateau Rauzan, a ruin is a short walk from the site but was not open during our stay. We visited Bordeaux and used the tram, park and ride. The owners are very nice and helpful.

We loved this campsite and sadly could only stay one night. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

The access road can be a little tight for bigger motorhomes, this may have been due to a local diversion on the day we visited.

Lovely views of the castle and a beautiful walk to the town.

Sadly food and drink were only available until 7pm. Maybe due to low season which is fine.

This is a lovely, friendly site, within easy walking distance of the village, where there is an excellent butcher and bakery amongst other shops.
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here, and would definitely recommend this site.
We had to pay for the WiFi however.
There are lots of places to visit in the area - St Emilion is well worth a visit for example.
We will definitely return here in future.

Great location situated below Chateau Rauzan. Roads narrow on approach! Site fairly untidy with uncut grass and branches etc lying on pitches, dandelions everywhere! This let it down ever so slightly as it is in a brilliant location.
There was a Brocante on when we were there, a great way to spend the day!
The castle and town easily accessed from the site through a pedestrian gate and up a steep hill. Village quiet but bakeries within easy walking distance.
