Unable to swim in the neighbourhood river due to it being too fast and high, but still had a great stay. The flowers are amazing all around the site. Facilities are good.

Beautiful place with the river just outside the gates. Very interesting historic walk along the river with information. Make sure you walk along the river to the canal.Well worth the distance from the A6. We spent 3 lovely days here whilst traveling North. Peaceful :) Good size pitches.
Area immediately outside of the campsite has good municipal facilities for children and picnicking. The beach area there needs some work by the council to tidy up again as it has weeds and sand nearly gone.
All the drains around the site at the water taps have clear notices not to empty dirty water. This does however mean caravans with 40 ltr containers have to go to the motorhome drain facility. This does seem to be typical of many French campsites so you need to think where your pitch is.

What a fabulous place. We were welcomed and taken to our pitch which was looking out onto open fields. The facilities are clean and adequate. Free good WiFi. The price was amazing. Would highly recommend, which I have done on many of my group sites on Facebook.

What a super site, so peaceful and a beautiful Riverside setting, handy Train station close by. Nice walk to Town with some shops and a larger Supermarket/Fuel. Ideal for Fishing & Kayaking. We stayed for two nights in 9m Motorhome, hard standing. Would definitely recommend - Careful following directions, some final lanes can be narrow.

I rarely write reviews for campsites, but this site deserves an exception. The moment we arrived we were totally struck with the tranquility of the site, which is beautifully maintained and sits on the banks of a lovely river, in which you can swim from the grass beach. The lovely typical French village of Vermenton with bars and restaurants is a few minutes walk. The train is an unexpected bonus due trips to Auxerre, Avillon and Chablis. Bike hire and wine tastings on site. This has to be one of the best rural, relaxing sites in France

Great staff here obviously proud of their site flower tubs are glorious.
Sanitary block a little dated but very clean at all timesod day or night.
Plenty of hot water for showers and dishwashing.
Riverside and park alongside campsite.
We will definitely return, it really is very good.

loved this site. The couple on reception spoke v little English but couldn’t have tried harder to find us a great pitch. The river just outside the gate provided a great swim and the flowers around the site were v pretty. Clean facilities and cafes in the nearby town for watching the world go by.

Fabulous site. Swimming in the river is beautiful, facilities are spotless and the welcome is warm. The site is filled with flowers. Many of the pitches are in shade and all are spacious with clear borders (hedges). The supermarked is in walking distance. A new favourite.

We loved this campsite which we found perfect in every way. The pitches were large and set among mature trees. We were there in early September so it was not crowded. The showers were piping hot with great pressure and the facilities very clean. we rented bikes from the campsite and cycled along the Nivernais one sunny morning. We stayed two nights and we’re sorry we could not stay longer. It is owner managed and it shows! Highly recommended! Great supermarket in Vermenton which is closer by.
