The site has been sold to Cap Fun and is now undergoing a lot of building work. Basically it's a building site! There are diggers and trucks, noise and dirt. The workers are also living on site and are not quiet.
The owner appears to be trying to get one more season income from the site before Cap Fun take over fully. It seems to me to be unfair on guests to pay for staying on a building site.
When we tried to discuss the situation with the owner, she was dismissive and uninterested

We chose this site for it's location to the motorway and Carcassonne. Not that we were were going to visit the Castle City as we had been before. However, we did visit the Markets at Carcassonne itself. We arrived around 3.30pm without a reservation and found the place to be busy and we were very lucky to get the last pitch. It was not a great pitch and very difficult to site the caravan as it was just off quite a steep gravel road way . I couldn't reverse back into it so took a run at it from the opposite direction and then used the motor mover to turn it in a very tight space. However, we felt lucky to get a pitch at all. The lady on reception I thought was excellent , she explained that before we made a decision on staying that they were having some construction work done and there would be some noise during the day and dust from the dumper truck. We accepted this. She even offered to ring and arrange for us to try elsewhere using ACSI membership at other campsites. This she did for a couple who followed us in. In the end we stayed three nights. Most of the other pitches were spacious and well presented ( some XXL pitches which I suspect incurred a greater cost.) There were a few pitches near us which like ours were not so great and used mainly for stop overs perhaps. I found the sanitary facilities okay although no toilet paper supplied. I always had a hot shower early in the morning my wife not so lucky when she went later. The French don't seem to do Grey water points but at least we were well located to use the Motorhome waste area. Drinking water taps were few and far between. The heated pool area, outdoor seating/ entertainment area and bar were very good. I can image this being an excellent venue in the high season when the place is full of families. Additional work was being carried out of the children's area whilst we were there. All in all a good campsite , I would try and book next time if we were ever in the area again. A big shout out though for the reception staff who went out of their way to be helpful. I forgot to mention my leisure battery overheated whilst here. They were able to provide me with a Motorhome place in Carcassonne who sold them but did without until returned home.

A fabulous site, the pitch we were allocated was huge and although it sloped slightly we had privacy and quiet.
The toilet block is quite old (and underneath the swimming pool) but cleaned regularly during the day.
The staff are exceptional, friendly and helpful, always seeming to have time for us.
The Wi-Fi is only available close to the office but it is free and reliable.
Carcassone is to be experienced, definitely not to be missed and the south coast is only around half an hour away.

Nice size pitches with hedges between on the \'street\' we were allocated. The site is a bit lacking in facilities. The busiest part of the site had one toilet, two showers and 2 sinks plus laundry sink, dated block. The other block was under the swimming pool terrace down tiled steps which was bigger. No toilet paper or hand drying but did supply soap although empty in the larger, newer block. A site to rest and relax. We used for an overnighter. Handy to visit Carcassonne. Unfortunately rain and arriving later in the day didn\'t give us time to visit.

Great location for Carcassonne, 28 wine apellations, Canal du Midi and all things Cathar. Peaceful site worthy of visit in its own right, as well as what's around. Often go for a few days and end up staying many more!

A nice site, pleasant bar hut with simple food. A basic pool but very pleasant. Pitches are a good size. Wash block is a bit dated, but everything is clean and showers are good. Only 1 thing to note, if you have a long motorhome or big caravan, ignore their first sign, continue through the town to the 2nd sign. A very steep turn but more than enough room to bring you down to the car park and reception. Great site and we\'ll use it again.

Potentially a nice site but we were allocated a very uneven pitch with no negotiation, so not happy. Some pitches are OK. Not very friendly reception, reasonable toilets, dogs running off lead, but ideal stop over. Maybe use again but doubt it.

Lovely campsite and I would certainly return. It was very hot whilst we were there so it was good to have a pitch with some shade. Good size pitch although an irregular shape but plenty of room. The swimming pool and bar area were lovely with beautiful views from the swimming pool and terrace. The unisex toilet block was modern and clean. We went on the local history tour carried out by the curator of the museum in Rustiques which was interesting. The guide was very passionate about the history of the area and could switch seamlessly from French, English, German and Dutch. A lovely stay and we were sorry to leave.

Had a lovely stay here. We loved our pitch and enjoyed the non-uniformity of the pitches layout.
No loo roll in toilets (would have paid more to include it). Restaurant and bar were great. We were there in heatwave so pool was VERY welcome. Cycled to Carcassone on canal path when we found it, from Trebes. Lovely location.
