We booked this site as we were impressed with the recent reviews. Whilst we would agree that the site is well placed for the town and that the owner was friendly and welcoming, we were disappointed with the sanitaries. They were generally a bit grubby and not cleaned. Some of the showers and toilets were locked out meaning only 2 toilets available in both the men’s and ladies’ loos which is not great especially first thing in the morning!

lovely site with good facilities and easy walking distance to the nearby town . nice view from
our pitch , perfect nights stay after our ferry crossing from Caen. would recommend . I cannot comment. on child friendliness or sports facilities as neither of these were relevant to my stay .

Lovely site in a lovely setting with views of the castle.
Leisurely walk into the town which has some very good restaurants and bars. Only 45mins from Ouistreham so perfect stop off from or going to the ports.
We’ve used this site a couple of times now and would again!

What a wonderful setting for a camping site, with the fantastic William the Conqueror castle looking down on the site. It is a very busy site particularly for 1 night stays! If you book in advance you will be given a pitch number (on a board by reception) and go to that pitch at 1:30pm otherwise you will have to wait until 4:30pm.
Visiting the castle is worth while and the town has a good selection of restaurants.
Toilets/showers very clean (no toilet paper). Highly recommended the site.

2 night stop over.
Showers were hot, well mine was the Mrs got a Luke warm one.
Toilets nice and clean, no paper.
Great view of the castle.
Very quiet but was busy.
Short but steep walk into town which had plenty of shops and restaurants.
Castle worth a visit.

Great little site within easy reach of Caen and ferry. Pitches are on grass, one or two are flattish but most are sloping, siting up is manageable as long as you have ramps and a few wooden blocks, some pitches have more shade and/or hedge boundaries than others but the site let you find your own pitch so finding one that suits isn\'t an issue. Plenty of water points are distributed throughout the site, electricity is good and doesn\'t trip easily. WiFi is ok, but can get slow when busy. If you arrive when reception is closed find a pitch and call at the office later. Pitches with white stakes in the middle are reserved. The town of Falaise is just a 15 minute walk away. Notable places to visit are the Chateau, War Museum and the Automaton Museum. All in all a highly recommendable site.

Wonderful site in a lovely setting with stunning views of the castle.
Leisurely walk into the town which has some very good restaurants. Not far off the motorway, supermarket nearby. Only 45mins from Ouistreham.
It was so good we stayed at the start of our holiday and at the end.
