Handy overnight stop as close to motorways. Pleasant river walks. Toilets clean but dated. Looks as if it could be muddy in wet weather.

Wunderscön gelegen. Man kann toll mit dem Hund laufen. Prima für Ausflüge in die Region.
Toiletten optisch in die Jahre gekommen aber immer sauber.

We were very disappointed by this campsite and decided to stay only one night: we were allocated a pitch that was very small and sloping, then another, that was all mud. The third option was just about ok but it would have been far better to let us choose our own from the start - lots of free pitches. However no hedges between any, just wooden poles demarcating them.
It’s a considerable distance from pitches to the reception and sanitary block.
The receptionist was friendly but didn’t know where water taps were located on site.
It felt very corporate, as if it has been set up by a company that doesn’t know about camping.
Our first disappointment in many years with an ACSI campsite,

ACSI need to re-access this site. Only 1 pitch to take a 7.5m caravan with car. Very noisy at weekends from pool, although quiet after 8/9pm. Trees overhanging, very lumpy pitches. Not very happy campers.

Handy for getting to Motorways to Caen. Toilets (clean) are up a long staircase which has no lighting and can be very dark. Being close to river may explain the stairs. There is a disabled toilet and shower downstairs. Toilets have toilet paper but no seats and there is still a hole in the ground style as well as just the pans. OK for overnight stop but I would go somewhere else if I wanted to stay longer. Our allocated pitch was rathe small so we used another one. The ground is quite lumpy and it’s easy to get a caravan stuck in a dip - it was the end of October though. The reception lady spoke good English. Didn’t check out pool or sports facilities.
