Lovely campsite situated close to à medieval village. Staff very friendly and facilities very good. Snack bar also good. Good size pitches with shade and sun. We would definitely recommend. Stayed for 10 nights the end of June.

Nice site, about 10 km from Saumur, but a little out of the main tourist area. Pitches vary in size, and most have shade. Decent pool, and facilities are clean and kept well. Bar is OK, and food looked reasonable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. One of the best things about the site is that it is on the age of a lovely village/small town, Montreuil Bellay. Here there is a local bar at the top of the lane from the site, and a fabulous mediaeval dining place called Grange Dime. The chateau is well worth a visit, and you get a discount if you show them your campsite wristband.

A lovely friendly welcome and very nice site. Pitches were very shady but nice alongside the river. Lots to see on foot and by bike. Chateau a delight on the doorstep.

I am now 1 week into a 3 week stay here.
The reception was very efficient and exceptionally friendly, I was directed to my allocated pitch which is of a good size, level and well delineated by hedges, shrubs and fragrant flowers. The is adequate shade provided by the many trees on site. The sanitary facilities are of a very good standard and maintained in a spotless condition throughout the day. There is plenty of hot water in the showers, wash basin cubicles and the dish wash sinks. The site is almost full at the moment and there are sufficient toilets, showers and was basin cubicles, I have never had to wait at any point so far. The restaurant is of an excellent standard with a varied menu of very good quality food along with a good selection of wines and other drink options. The restaurant appears to be very popular with the locals which supports the quality provided. The location is exceptional in terms of attractiveness being alongside a beautiful stretch of river (having direct access onto the river bank) and in very close proximity to a wonderfully picturesque castle.
It is a short walk into the small town which provides all the necessary amenities including a perfectly adequate supermarket.
The local area provides a large selection of walking and cycling routes along with a large selection of easily drivable attractions.
One of the outstanding positives is the friendliness, helpfulness and efficiency of all the staff on site.
This is fast becoming one of my favourite sites and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

We had been here before so knew what to expect, the TomTom camper satnav still tried to take us on the unsuitable route in even though it was set to car & Caravan. Be warned, I knew the correct route so just diverted the correct way. Site was quite busy compared to others we have stayed on in these Covid times, but still felt very safe. The local town was nearly closed! Very few places were open.
