We stayed here some years ago, and returned for the fishing. Its a shame that water levels were down, and the very large lake is full of weed. It could be a big draw, with canoes, paddle boards, open swimming, as well as fishing. Take out the lake, and there is not a lot else to do. There is a bar/restaurant, but we didn’t use, and a swimming pool, also unused. The staff, are good, and sanitary facilities are ok. Arrive stocked up, as its a drive to a supermarket

If you want the most peaceful stay with views of pond and nature then this is it, total calmness.

Stopped over for 2 nights. Loved the peacefulness, quiet location and friendly owners. Nearest small shops in Genac, a short cycle away along quiet lanes. Sadly swimming pool out of action undergoing refurbishment. On site fishing lake, enhanced look of site, but mosquitos very active when we were there. Other guests loved their meal at the on site restaurant (we didn\'t eat there).

This is a very simple, peaceful and quiet site and very popular with anglers.
We enjoyed our 2 night stay here, but we were disappointed that the bar, for example, was not open at all despite the app indicating that it would be.
The pool was not due to be opened until later in the season, but there appeared to be a lot of work yet to do to get it ready!
WiFi was only available by sitting outside the reception on the bench.

We arrived to see there was a new owner since we last stayed. The new owner is French and was very welcoming. I cannot score the food/ drink/swimming pool as they were not open in May. However, I can see that improvements are slowly being made for example refurbishment of the restaurant. Tidy lawned site, nothing in the village so shop before you arrive. Great campsite for fishing. No hot water for washing the dishes in the evening no matter how long you ran the tap for. a bit pricey as not all facilities were open.

Great site with super owners who were very helpful. Will come back again. We did not use the swimming pool but it looked good. Very good dog walking area.

Peaceful location and pitch choice was left up to us. We chose to overlook the lake. Not much in Bignac, no boulangerie. Facilities very good and friendly couple running the site.
Loved seeing the egrets returning at dusk to roost in the trees near the lake.
Loved the peace and quiet but had to travel for shopping etc.

Excellent campsite with very friendly new owners. Stayed longer than planned as the site was so peaceful and relaxing. Cycling in the area very good vineyards and fields of sunflowers with lots of lovely villages.
Lovely hot showers and the pool was a great addition.
Restaurant was excellent value with good choice of meals.
Would highly recommend and will return when in the area.

Tranquil, calm and well shaded. Ideal get-away but still close to interesting places to visit.

Intended to stay one night on way back from Spain, ended up staying three! Would have stayed longer but ferry booking wouldn’t allow. A lovely setting and very peaceful when we stayed. A great welcome from a lovely family and a great meal in their Bistro. Also a very large fishing lake on site! This all set in a lovely rural setting, we will definitely be back.
