The new owners have launched a new concept of 'dog friendly campsite' with separate marked out pitches, agility training field and a dog toilet in the woods. The many footpaths and attractions in the area promise an enjoyable and active holiday. CampingCard ACSI rate does not include entrance to indoor pool.

Knaus Campingpark Viechtach is a campsite with 134 touring pitches and 94 year round pitches. During low season, between 07-01-2024 - 08-05-2024, 12-05-2024 - 17-05-2024, 22-05-2024 - 28-05-2024, 03-06-2024 - 21-06-2024 and 03-09-2024 - 03-11-2024, the nightly rate is €27,- at one of the 134 touring pitches at Knaus Campingpark Viechtach in Viechtach (Bavaria).

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Toller campingplatz, freundliches personal, neue agility gerate, neue hundefreilauf, neue hundedusche, seit kurzem kostenloses WLAN, neue stromversorgung. Restaurant mit lickeren pizzas und hamburger. Viel animation fur kinder und erwachsenen, u.a Bingo. Sanitair alt aber sauber, wird laut mitarbeiter in 2024 renoviert. seht toll sind die umzaunte hunde stellplatze, sehr hundefreundlich.

Travelling party: Seniors

Ich war auf der Durchreise, gönnte mir 3 Tage Bayerischer Wald. Ausschlaggebend für meine Auswahl war das Restaurant und das Schwimmbad. Brötchenservice und Wlan gehört ja gottseidank inzwischen zu Grundausstattung. Wlan war schwach, aber vorhanden. Leider war das Restaurant wegen Urlaub geschlossen. In meiner Urlaubszeit. Ist natürlich ärgerlich. Es ist zwar eine Gaststätte in fußläufiger Nachbarschaft, es hat aber meinen Geschmack nicht getroffen. Schwimmbad war einfach, aber sauber, keine Klagen. Personal immer nett und zuvorkommend, Sanitär älter aber jederzeit sauber.
Sehr ärgerlich fand ich aber, zum beworbenen ACSI Preis kommen noch Kurbeitrag (ist noch OK) UND Umweltbeitrag. Somit sind es keine Tag sondern saftige . Soviel Müll muss man erst einmal produzieren. Und das bekommt man ja erst gesagt, wenn man vor Ort ist :( Es wäre schöner, wenn diese Zusatzkosten schon bei ACSI ausgewiesen würden.

Die Hundestellplätze waren nicht im Acsi Angebot. Campingplatz ziemlich laut, da an der B85 gelegen. Campinggaststätte geschlossen, im Campingladen nur ein paar Getränke und Schokoriegel. Lage war schön, direkt am Waldrand.
