compact site with pitches set among the olive trees. toilets like most in Italy no seat or paper provided. That said they were the cleanest toilets and showers, regularly cleaned. convenient for Palermo . We drove in to the city 30 mins, an experience in itself. The site as a small shop sells wine, beer and a few grocery essentials. Daily bread if ordered the day before. Would recommend.

friendly welcome. full info given. pitches are small especially if someone has a large motorhome. old olive trees overhanging can be a problem. shower/toilet block kept very clean. jeton system needs to allow more than 10 secs to press button & rush to shower that starts running.

Useful campsite to visit Palermo. Quite tight pitches with trees for shade, most are level. Delightful hosts but the arrival process is a little like going into a CAMC site, less parking on the peg! The walk out of the site to the left takes you along to a beach is unlikely to achieve a Blue Flag, ever. Instead, can I suggest you take a walk into the village and try a Cannoli at Roxy Cafe (near the church square) and if you need a haircut try Giuseppe just opposite, it’ll be the most entertaining afternoon you’ve had for a long time. Of note the campsite hosts an evening ‘briefing’ to enable you to hit all the Palermo sites.

Dominica is so friendly, talented and helpful - speaks French English and German on top of Italian - she holds an evening briefing on the best ways to enjoy Palermo visits. tricky getting to campsite as it’s on a 1 way road - head for port and use the coastal road once in isola della feminine.

Handy site for arriving late on the ferry, they have a special late arrivals area and a detailed welcome. Close to Palermo on the train.
When we went mid-September the beach wasn’t very nice and the walk into town a bit bleak (lacking pavements for the buggy).
We had a large motorhome and only fit in the larger pitches. Watch out for low trees!

Stayed 4 nights to visit Palermo. They await arrivals from the late GNV ferry - took us 45 mins from port. Family run and very helpful and friendly. The owner speaks very good (self taught) English and German. Our exhaust pipe fell off our van and she arranged for mechanics to visit later the same day and they ordered and fitted the new pipe a day later - very fast and reasonable (no longer had a v12 Ferrari sounding fiat ducato!) staff arrange and assist you in getting to Palermo by train and give you maps - it’s fabulous and great help and advice - nothing is too much trouble! The beach at Isola della Femmine is lovely - we cycled past the on beach gellateria. Showers are timed with token, but lots of hot water and you can pause them - great idea so everybody gets hot water! Ballero market is the best - get there before 1pm! We loved this site and will return.
