A very unexpected pleasant stay here. We were on our way from the Algarve up to Lisbon and stayed overnight here. I would advise calling ahead and booking as this is an understandably popular site, even off peak in May. We were made to feel very welcome and the site is small and friendly. Most pitches are level and off a track with a small deck and plenty of room. Superb facilities, all very clean. What surprised us was the 5 o'clock bell, when we were invited to join the owners and other campers for a drink at the bar area. Despite language barrier we all got on and we enjoyed chatting to other travellers and getting tips and advice for our travels. Short walk down to a river for pleasant stroll.
We would recommend this site as a good stopover, but also for a peace and quite spot if you want to stay longer. We would certainly stay again.

Wonderful haven of a campsite. We stayed here over Easter with much inclement weather. The pitches are firm gravel hardstanding and the site as a whole was standing up well to the heavy rainfall. Showers lovely and spacious but one star deducted for the draughty toilets. Great welcome and nice Happy Hour in the communal log cabin. Site situated in a rural area amongst cork oaks and wild flowers with walks to the adjacent river. Swimming there would be wonderful in summer. Highly recommended

Beautiful calm place to stay. Best showers and toilets on the Iberian peninsula. Host very attentive and helpful.

Spacious pitches & relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyable panoramic views. River access at the bottom of the hill. Temperatures considerably higher than the coastal areas. I thought Menno was extremely helpful & personable. I\\\'ve used ACSI now for 5 years & never had to query rates, until here. Apparently I should have been aware of ACSIs terms & conditions, regulations, & was accused of not telling the truth. Perhaps Miranda had had a bad day - it was 42c - but it was all spoiled for an additional!

Lovely small site surrounded by wonderful countryside. Beautiful walks down and along the river. The owners are incredible and extremely friendly. Every evening they have drinks on the terrace to meet them and other campers. Great idea.

Hele fijne camping om te verblijven. Rustgevend en hele vriendelijke eigenaren Menno en Miranda. Sanitair superschoon en heeeeeele ruime douches. Zeer ruime kampeerplekken, waarvan sommige op hoogte super uitzicht hebben. Voor ons als fietsers waren de fietsroutes niet echt fijn. Of gravel paden of via de autoweg. Met mountainbikes zijn de gravel paden wel goed te doen. Wij zijn een maand gebleven, terwijl de planning een paar dagen was. Dus het geheel was voldoende om langer te blijven. Door de week elke dag happy hour om 17:00, en gezellige boel. De autoweg net achter de camping is rumoerig. Went na verloop van tijd, idem voor hondengeblaf in de nacht. Echt een superplek voor mensen die een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding willen en zoeken. Wij komen hier zeker nog een keer terug.

We had an unplanned two night stay in this campsite. It just happened to be on our route. What a find. The whole site is beautifully set out and the pitches are gravel and flat. The toilet facilities and washing up area are spotless. A warm welcome is provided by Mennonite and Miranda and their local knowledge and insight is hugely helpful. A river is accessible from the site for swimming and fishing and there are endless hiking and cycling options from the gate. With the cheery happy hour, this was a perfect site for a chilled getaway.

Only stayed one night on our way south. Very friendly owners. The services were excellent, spotlessly clean with large showers. Well spaced standing with ehu. Recommended, we would return.

We have spent 10 weeks here due to covid and Menno and Mirsnda have cared for us brilliantly. Great site in beautiful countryside, short walks to River Mora and close enough to Lisbon for day trips and much, much more. Booked for next year
