Lovely peaceful campsite, 150m from the beach (via path) in the 'Sierra de Irta' natural park. Great pool, tennis and excellent restaurant. Good (heated) sanitary facilities. Accessible via a 2-km unpaved road, but it is more than worth your while to stay at this campsite! Wonderful walking and mountain biking routes.

excellent campsite. whilst in a nature reserve it was only 2 kilometres from a lovely seaside town with loads of bars and restaurants and a nice promenade walk. yet from the campsite you can walk and cycle straight into the nature reserve for miles if you wished.
the pitches were fair sized and well screened by hedges which gave good privacy. we were in G row which within all pitches had a very tight turn into the pitches
re the comments about the approach track just take it slow and easy and no

This is a lovely clean campsite, in a national park. Lots of trails for serious hikers and mountain bikers. The downside is the 1.8km Approach track. which is very, very rough. The beach is non-existent, only a few patches of sand, amongst rocks. Access to the sea is vey difficult. The saltwater swimming pool on the site is excellent. The showers are inconsistent (hot/cold)in the toilet block.

We came in our campervan to this beautiful site and believe it to be one of the very best we have stayed in Europe. good size plots with water and electricity. Everything was clean and well maintained with friendly helpful staff. excellent walks but did not use our electric bikes. only stayed 2 nights on this trip but aim to return for longer in the future.

This is such a lovely site. The 1.8k bumpy track leading to it is the only downside. I don’t know if we’d stay here again for that reason. We found it hard going even on our bikes!

Set within a national park, you can walk straight out of the front gate and in to nature on a gravel track, which leads you in to the surrounding hills with good walking routes to follow and which is also great for mountain biking for miles (mountain bikes can be hired at reception). walk out of the back gate and get access to the rocky coastline where you can snorkle. There is also the occasional small beach to sunbathe on. From the site you can hear the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. The showers and toilets were well attended to by dedicated staff who were around all day keeping everything up to standard. Motorhome pitches seperated by nicely trimmed hedges and shaded by young trees, with electric and water available at central points. Pool and resturant on site, the food looked great but I was keeping to a tight budget so didn't eat there (I walked to the supermarket in town which took me about an hour each way). Facilities for motorhomers are great! including a laundry room with machines and sinks.

Beautiful location with great walks and close to the beach. Site always clean and well maintained by friendly and helpful staff. Always a pleasure to arrive with a warm welcome and knowledgeable staff.

The staff are marvellous. This site has the best showers - such lovely hot water! (Including the dog shower!) Other facilities are fabulous. It’s in the middle of a nature reserve so they do everything they can to be environmentally friendly & sustainable. Talking of dogs, they also provide poo bags & bins. If you want a friendly, quiet, exquisite place to walk & unwind this is it.

Third year running we have visited Ribamar and we think for us it is the best campsite we have come across in Spain in the last 3 years. February 2020,september 2021 and October 2022. We have a 7.5 m motorhome and find that all pitches are huge and relatively Flat on a gravel surface. Take a club hammer if you want to hammer in tent pegs and storm straps.Dogs are welcome on the site and most people obey the rules and keep their dogs under control and on leads. Dog shower in the toilet block is a nice touch although our three German shepherds found it difficult to get out of the bath as it needs a rubber mat for grip. Restaurant is open all year and the food is reasonably priced with excellent choice accompanied by good cheap house wine. As the road to the camp is more suited for a 4x4 vehicle I suggest that once on the site don’t move the camping van until you need to leave. We take E Bikes and can get to the town in 10 minutes even suffering a bone shaking ride when you think your fillings will fall out but we can get a large amount of shopping in the paniers. A good supermarket Consul at the top of the town. Great dog walks along the foot paths and into the national park. Bring plenty of fly repellant in September and October. February was best as there were no flies. We made the mistake in October this year as ACSI was not accepted the week we stayed so check the accepted dates on this site.We will be Back.

We have stayed at this campsites several times now and after a break of 2 years felt a review was due. The campsite as others have said is kept immaculately clean and tidy, toilet blocks etc are all excellent. The road to the campsite again as others have said is 2km of unmade rough stony dusty ground that doesn\'t get any better as time passes. Monday to Friday lunchtime it is quiet and utterly peaceful mainly occupied by French, Dutch, Swiss, German and English campers (this is out of high season).

However ( and you knew one was coming)! Friday lunchtime onwards many Spanish Families arrive with many children. The noise level goes up and peaceful campsite is turned into Spanish Mayhem. This in itself is not a problem and we have no problem with children or the Spanish. However, there are few campsite rules and the noise can go on until 1 or 2 in the morning with children playing and parents oblivious to any respect for others. This goes on until Sunday early evening when once again the campsite returns to peace and civility. Also I would advise anyone thinking of going to Ribamar not to arrive on Friday , Saturday or Sunday as getting into the campsite can be very tight. This is also a problem further down the road where locals visiting the beach at the end of the track can virtually block access for any larger vehicles. This also applies to the immediate campsite road on a Sunday in particular when day visitors arrive and block the entrance to the campsite.
So here is the dilemma, a great campsite 4 days of the week but not good at weekends. The campsite really needs to get a grip and impose some control at week ends.
